Riverside Recycles

September 15, 2019: Members of the Riverside Green Committee were in the cafeteria during lunch last week, reminding students how to sort and recycle their waste when they were finished eating.

Children through all grades used the sorting station with enthusiasm, having listened to a brief talk on what could and couldn't be recycled.

Please consider packing lunch and snack in reusable containers and water bottles. Waste has a huge negative impact on our natural environment and this is a simple way to reduce plastic waste as well as cost.

Riverside is a Connecticut Green Leaf School, to learn more and find out about other programs the Green Committee run in school, please visit our webpage.
