DON'T FORGET TO UPDATE SCHOOL DISMISSAL MANAGER!

 

A reminder that the Fall Afters session begins on Tuesday and runs through November 24. Please update School Dismissal Manager (SDM) with your child’s new dismissal schedule.

 

To Update SDM: Go to "Recurring Dismissals" in the top left drop-down menu, select the student, then select AFTERS for the Dismissal Instruction. When the screen opens, write the name of the Afters Class and select the Day of the Week. Once added in, then select "Every Week" with an end date of November 24.

PTA VOLUNTEER FAIR IS ONLINE UNTIL SEPT. 27

 

 

If you missed last week's PTA Volunteer Fair or you attended but didn't get to sign up for everything you were interested in, we've got you covered - the Volunteer Fair is now online! 

 

 

*NOTE: To submit your areas of interest, you must have an updated profile on RIVPTA.org. 

 

 

 

NOETIC CONTEST REGISTRATION &

PREP SESSIONS START SEPTEMBER 28

 

Riverside School's Math Team is back! This Fall we will have Morning Math Prep Sessions leading up to the Fall Noetic Contest which will be held Friday, November 20 at 7:30am in the Cafe for students in Grades 2 - 5. 

 

  • WHAT: Noetic Contest Registration (Grades 2-5)
  • REGISTER BY: September 28
  • TEST DATE: Friday, November 20, 7:30am 

 

Parents must separately register for prep sessions, held Monday mornings in the Media Center from 7:45-8:30am. Cost is $25 per session per child. 

  • WHAT: Noetic Contest Prep Sessions (8 sessions, Grade 2-5)
  • WHEN: Mondays, 7:45-8:30am 
  • Dates: September 28, October 5, October 12, October 19, October 26, November 2, November 9, November 16

This year's Fall Fundraiser will be an exciting Hawaiian-themed night that includes an open bar, food and an auction! The Fall Fundraiser is one of Riverside School's most important fundraisers of the year.

CALL FOR AUCTION ITEMS!
 

The Fall Fundraiser is one of Riverside School's most important fundraisers of the year and we need auction items!

 

Auction items are largely sourced from within our Riverside community, and often include vacation homes, tickets to sporting events or concerts, gift certificates, unique experiences, and much more!

 

If you have an item or experience to donate to the auction, please contact Marissa Rose. 

 

 RIVERSIDE RECYCLES!

Not sure what to do with last year's school supplies? Check out our recycling collection bins in the school entryway. You can drop off old crayons, pencils, binders, empty glue bottles, and more supplies for the Staples Recycling Program, as well as used and expired batteries to be taken to Holly Hill Resource Recovery Center. 

 

Keep an eye out for seasonal drives including Halloween costumes and winter coats.

   

 

 

NEED EXTRA TIME IN THE MORNING?

WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED!

 

From 7:15am until school opens, your child can enjoy supervised activities like reading, arts & crafts, puzzles, and games with a Riverside teacher through the Early Morning Program.  

 

Here’s how it works:

 

1. "Enroll" your child in EMP: We recommend all parents enroll their children at the beginning of the year to make drop-in opportunities more accessible. There is no payment required for enrollment. The form takes 1 minute to complete.

 

2. Submit payment when needed: Once enrolled, when your child needs to attend, simply fill out the payment form to submit payment in advance and indicate the day your child will attend. The drop-in rate is $18 per child per day.

PTA TREASURY REMINDERS!
 

PTA volunteers can access our Treasury Guidelines & Expense Policies here which includes all required forms and documents for reimbursement/vendor payments, our tax exempt certificate, W9 form, and other helpful information. Reminder that we are a sales-tax-exempt organization.

Our school community counts on the PTA to deliver an array of events, programs and initiatives that enrich classroom curriculum, support teachers and staff, enhance the school campus, and strengthen the community.

To do this, we rely on the generosity of Riverside School families via our annual Membership Drive, one of the PTA’s most important fundraisers. While your participation is voluntary, we do aim for 100% participation in our Membership Drive.  The PTA does a lot – and we couldn’t do it without your support!
