Winter Coat Drive to Support GPS Families!

Monday, October 19 - Friday, October 23

 

Is your closet crammed with outgrown winter gear? There are families in Greenwich who need coats, boots, and other accessories to stay warm this season. Clean out and help out by bringing your clothes to Riverside School the week of October 19.

 

Collection bins will be at the main entrance every day during drop-off and pickup. All sizes are accepted. Donations will go directly to our friends at New Lebanon School.  

 

 

Boo Bash 2026:  Red Hawk in Wonderland!

On Friday, October 30, Riverside School is tumbling down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland for the 2026 Boo Bash!

 

Be sure to get your tickets early, because things are about to get curiouser and curiouser. You will not want to miss this wonderfully wacky world filled with mad surprises, mysterious characters, and changes at every turn. So get ready to paint the roses red, get your tea ready, and set your clocks for this epic Halloween party. 

 

As a reminder, only current Riverside students are able to go down the rabbit hole—no younger or older siblings, please. And make sure to wear your costumes ... or it's off with your heads!

 

Early Party for Grades K-2 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm

 

Late Party for Grades 3-5 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm

VETERANS DAY CEREMONY AND HONOR ROLL
 

We will be hosting our 22nd Annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11 at 9:00am. All Riverside Families are welcome to attend!

 

If you know a Veteran or Active Member who can join us in person for the ceremony, please email Dede Siguler so that we can properly recognize them.

  • WHAT TO WEAR: Children are encouraged to wear their Red Shirts on Wednesday, November 11 in honor of Veterans Day!

We would also love to celebrate the service of Veterans in our school community by creating an Honor Roll list of family members who have served in the military. If you would like to include a family member in the Honor Roll, please complete this form by Tuesday, October 27. This year's Fall Fundraiser will be an exciting Hawaiian-themed night that includes an open bar, food and an auction! The Fall Fundraiser is one of Riverside School's most important fundraisers of the year.

CALL FOR AUCTION ITEMS!
 

The Fall Fundraiser is one of Riverside School's most important fundraisers of the year and we need auction items!

 

Auction items are largely sourced from within our Riverside community, and often include vacation homes, tickets to sporting events or concerts, gift certificates, unique experiences, and much more!

 

If you have an item or experience to donate to the auction, please contact Marissa Rose. 

 

 

 

A NOTE ABOUT CAFETERIA SNACKS
 

If you are interested in removing the a la carte (snack) option from your child's account, you can contact the Food Services administrator, Erika Peters. The student will be able to purchase a complete school meal, but won't be allowed to purchase individual snacks.

 

If you would like to provide any additional feedback about the cafeteria choices, please email Martha Ramkellawan.

HELP ELIMINATE HUNGER WITH FRIDAY FOOD RESCUES

 

Every week our kids contribute unopened food to our donation station in the back corner of the cafeteria. Be a hero by transporting the food to families in need! 

  • WHAT: Pick up food donations from Riverside's cafeteria and deliver them to Kids in Crisis in Cos Cob.
