Wellness Week 2023!


Riverside School celebrates wellness through Wellness Week, a time to recognize emotional and mental well-being as part of our total body health.  During the week, students participate in daily mindful and wellness activities at school and a variety of wellness activities are available to do at home that support healthy social, emotional, and behavioral development. 


The theme for each day of Wellness Week promotes overall health. See the box below for last year's Wellness Week themes. Click on each day for more information as well as some simple, stress-free activities you can do with your children that coordinate with our daily themes. 


 Mindful Monday

An introduction to Mindfulness, including a fun and easy activity for kids to de-stress


Try It Tuesday 

Step out of your comfort zone and try something new!


Worry-Free Wednesday 

Breathing techniques and mini-meditations to take away your worries.


Thankful Thursday 

Lift your spirit by practicing gratitude; writing a Thank You note is an easy way to start!


Feelings Friday

Observe your feelings and raise self-awareness using the “feelings wheel.”
