YEARBOOK UPDATE

Thank you for submitting your yearbook photos.  Our committee is hard at work creating a fantastic yearbook filled with special memories of Riverside School.  

It is now time for the students to create their own pages (with your help)!  Each 5th grader will have his/her own page in our yearbook.  These will be created using the PICTAVO software; it's easy to use and creates great results.  Deadline is Friday, March 7th.

IN-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Revolutionary War Day - May 23rd: Our 5th graders will step back in time as Riverside School welcomes the 6th Connecticut Regiment to help conclude their year-long study of the American Revolution. The Regiment will bring history to life with immersive demonstrations, offering a window into military and civilian life during the period. Students will engage with presenters dressed in authentic period attire and displaying artifacts that showcase the roles of soldiers, surgeons, and women on both the home front and the frontlines.

5th Grade Fun Day - June, TBD: 5th graders will receive their yearbooks and collect signatures during a fun day outdoors with food and games.

DROP-OFF AFTER- SCHOOL ACTIVITIES FOR 5th GRADERS ONLY

Gaga Night - March 7th: Our gym teachers, Bill Bogardus and Jay D’Andrea, will host an evening with pizza and fun gaga ball competitions. 

End of Year Pool Party - Last day of school/TBD, 1:30-3pm This drop-off event is held at Riverside Yacht Club, usually on the last day of school*. Pooltime and snacks together as the kids finish off the year!

PARENT PARTY FOR 5th GRADE PARENTS

Calling all 5th Grade parents! Save Saturday, June 7th from 7-10pm for a night out with parents and teachers to celebrate moving up to middle school. Lindsay and Peter Snedeker are graciously opening their home for this fun evening. Details to follow. 

RECOGNITION DAY & END OF YEAR PARTY

The 5th Grade Recognition Day / Graduation will take place at the end of the school year in June* on a weekday morning. The ceremony will be followed by a casual reception with drinks and treats. Details will be updated as the event date approaches. 

* If GPS has 5 snow days, the last day of school will be on June 23rd.
