WELCOME BACK, RIVERSIDE FAMILIES!

 

 

 

We hope you had a great summer and are ready to dust off the sand and pack up those backpacks for another year at Riverside! We’re ready to see the halls buzzing with students and teachers, and we’re especially excited to welcome Ms. Collette into her new role as Principal and Ms. Weir as Assistant Principal. Here are a few things to keep on your radar as we gear up for the first few weeks of school:

 

☐ Kindergarten & New Families Orientation from 10:30am-11:30am on Thursday, August 27

  • New Families tour at 10:30am
  • Kindergarten tour at 11am

☐ First Day of School on Friday, August 28

  • Parade of Learners for Grades 1-5 is at 8:30am. 
  • Kindergarten arrival is at 9am at the Kindergarten entrance.

☐ PTA Volunteer Fair on Friday, August 28 from 9:00am-10:00am on the blacktop

 

☐ Join the PTA or renew your PTA membership and update your Directory information. Create or update your RIVPTA.org account with your family contact information, including your child’s 2026-2027 teacher.

 

☐ Add money to your child's lunch account via MySchoolBucks. If you are setting up the account for the first time, you will need your child's school identifier, which can be found on Aspen.


☐ Register for the Early Morning Program, which will start on Monday, August 31 and will be offered every weekday morning thereafter from 7:15am-8:30am. 

 

☐ School Photo Day will be held on Monday, September 14. 


☐ Add these upcoming dates to your calendar:

  • Monday, September 7 - No School, Labor Day
  • Friday, September 11 - New Families Coffee
  • Monday, September 14 - School Photo Day
  • Thursday, September 17 (evening): Open House (parents only)
  • Monday, September 21 - No School, Yom Kippur
  • Wednesday, October 7 - PTA Fall General Meeting
  • Friday, October 30 (evening) - Boo Bash
  • Friday, November 6 (evening) - School Fundraiser at The Loading 

 

☐ Check out RIVPTA.org or the Membership Toolkit app for dates of all PTA events and view the GPS District Calendar and note important school dates and holidays.

 

 

  

 The Riverside PTA uses this website to communicate key information.

Once you create a RIVPTA.org account, you can: 

  • Receive important communications via email and/or Membership Toolkit app notifications (which can be retrieved at any time by going to My Account > My Messages)
  • Sign up to volunteer, and get reminders sent automatically
  • Be in the know with full access to the Riverside PTA Calendar
  • Become a Riverside PTA member by joining the PTA (separate from volunteering for the PTA)
  • Complete your directory information
  • Access the directory online or on the Membership Toolkit app (for PTA members only)
  • Access My Page, your personal dashboard for everything linked to your RIVPTA.org account - Ticket purchases, volunteer signups, enrollment forms, etc.
