This year's Riverside Run was a huge success, with clear skies and great attendance!! Congratulations to the 2nd Grade for winning the grade level registration challenge.

 

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Run and to the volunteers who helped make it such an amazing day! Check out the overall and age group results.

Spring PTA General Meeting

Including Meet & Greet with Incoming School Leaders

 

 

All PTA members are invited to our Spring PTA General Meeting on Friday, May 31st from 9:15-10:15am in the Cafeteria where we will hear from our incoming Principal Jason Martín and newly-announced Assistant Principal Mary Dolan Collette!

 

Please submit your questions in advance by emailing riversideschoolpta@gmail.com. The first 20 minutes of the meeting will be PTA business, including approving next year's budget and the new Board slate.

Volunteer & Parent Recognition Tea

Wednesday, June 12th

 

 

Please join us on Wednesday, June 12th from 9:15-10:30am in the Cafeteria for our annual event to celebrate all the volunteers who made this school year so incredible!

 

We will present awards to some outstanding volunteers, recognize graduating parents whose youngest child is in 5th grade, and acknowledge the new and outgoing board members. Refreshments provided by the Riverside School teachers and staff.

Riverside’s Textile & Used Children’s

Book Drives are Back!

 

Items for the May 20-24 Textile Drive will be collected daily in designated bins in front of the school. Please see the latest Peek for guidelines on accepted and not accepted items.

 

Books in excellent to fair condition for the May 28-June 4 Riverside's Used Children’s Book Drive will be collected in front of the school. Donated books will first be offered to Riverside teachers and staff. Remaining books will then be offered to all families at pick-up (date TBD) and Books4Everyone.

Student Council Bake Sale & Drive

For Lucky Dog Refuge May 20-24

 

 

Student Council members will be hosting a bake sale in support of Lucky Dog Refuge, a local safe haven for dogs from dire backgrounds. Yummy treats will be available for sale in front of the school, near the flagpole, from 3:15-4pm on May 20-23 and 1:15-2pm on May 24.  

 

Student Council will also be accepting donations for the Refuge (see list of needed items) in the bin be outside the front of the school from May 25-June 10.

Save the Date:

Riverside Art Show is June 5th

 

We are excited to welcome back the Riverside School Art Show on Wednesday, June 5th from 6:30-8:00pm!

 

The team is looking for several volunteers to prepare and hang the artwork from May 20-24 (cut & mount) and May 29-June 4 (hang), as well as support the day of the event. To volunteer, please click here.

Riverside Field Day

Monday, June 10th

 

 

Field Day is on Monday, June 10th (rain date of June 13th). Students will be divided into 4 color groups and compete against each other to see which color will be this year’s champion! 

 

Please remember to send your child(ren) to school on June 10th wearing a shirt in that color or their Field Day T-shirt.

The Riverside PTA is an active volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the education of our students and the needs of our school community. Volunteering is a terrific way to engage with the school and community. We are now filling a variety of PTA volunteer roles for the 2024-2025 school year.

Order 2024-2025 School Supplies

by June 4th

 

 

The PTA is once again sponsoring a school supply fundraiser for the upcoming school year. Order now and your child's box of supplies will be delivered directly to the classroom by the first day of school. Please visit the SchoolKidz Teacher Tailored website and enter account number 83285.
